Tengei Technique

Tengei involves the practice and application of shamanic techniques that derive from a common set of underlying principles known as the Hakke. These techniques are applied in a variety of contexts, from the practice of spirit dance to the building of harmonious relationships.
Three Foundational Techniques
Among the hundreds of Tengei techniques, these three are not necessarily the easiest to learn, but are taught early in order to introduce beginners to some of the core ideas of Tengei.
Jikan Fuuin

This technique is a method of twisting energy through the whole body.
Tenkai Kourin

Considered the most fundamental of all Tengei techniques, Tenkai Kourin is essential to both odori and kaeshi, and also to the use of the shaman's drum.
Seikou Shuusoku

Seikou Shuusoku involves the emission of a burst of energy, and is often learned together with Karasutobi, or the "crow hopping" technique.
